Privacy Policy

No Noise is a silent disco equipment hire company operating across Devon, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you enquire or book with us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Last updated July 2026.

Who we are

No Noise (All The Party. None Of The Noise.) is the data controller for the information described here. We are based in Exeter and serve events throughout Devon. You can contact us about anything in this policy by calling or texting 07488812581, or by using the enquiry form on our contact page.

What we collect

  • Your name, phone number and, if you give it, an email address.
  • Event details: date, venue or postcode, guest numbers, event type, headphone quantity and any add-ons such as extra transmitters, lighting units or an on-site operator.
  • Anything you choose to write in the message box of an enquiry form.
  • Basic technical data such as your device type, browser and pages visited, only if you accept analytics cookies.

We do not ask for and do not want special category data, and we do not take card details through this website.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a bespoke quote.
  • To plan, deliver, set up and collect the equipment for your booking.
  • To contact you about your event — for example confirming access times or delivery details.
  • To keep records required for accounting, insurance and equipment loss or damage claims.

Our lawful bases are legitimate interests (responding to an enquiry you sent us) and contract (fulfilling a confirmed booking). Analytics cookies rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Marketing

We do not send bulk marketing emails and we never sell or rent your details. If we ever introduce an occasional offers email, it will be opt-in only with a one-click unsubscribe in every message.

Who we share it with

Only the suppliers needed to run the service: our website and email hosting providers, our transactional email provider which delivers enquiry notifications to us, and our courier when your kit is being delivered or collected. Each processes data on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to insurers or HMRC.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Booking records, including invoices, are kept for six years plus the current financial year to meet UK tax and insurance requirements. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form only.

Storage and security

Data is stored on access-controlled, encrypted services. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, transfers are covered by UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum. Access is limited to the people who need it to run your booking.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed, and to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or to object to processing. To exercise any of these, call or text 07488812581 or send the request through our contact form. We respond within one calendar month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

We regularly supply school, prom and children's party events, but we deal with the adult organiser. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from anyone under 16 through this website.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy annually and whenever our systems change. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
